Hey there everyone!

With some people being around for as long as the forums have been around and some people (like me) only being around since the Kickstarter campaign I am curious to see how you found out about Citadel of Sorcery.. and if possible what your first thought about it was.

As for me, I was scrolling across Rock Paper Shotgun and ended up reading the kickstarter katchup where almost completely down on the list CoS was mentioned shortly.. it said MMO so I naturally had a look and the first thing that intrigued me was that the pre-alpha look of the game reminded of of Might&Magic 6/7 cinematics in terms of the graphic style. I actually loved it! When I read a bit more I became convinced that Citadel of Sorcery would be my first ever kickstarter pledge, and here I am!

What's your story?

I had casually looked at it on MMORPG.com. I didn't really delve until it hit KickStarter. My friend that always scans their stuff told me to check it out again, I did, I backed it, now I'm officially crazy about it.
(I was only officially crazy before.)

Someone mentioned it on a Beta forum for another game about two years ago and I started to look at it. I looked in every now and then to see what was going on. Then I received an email about the new website, and found that the team has been a bunch of busy beavers.

I heard it mentioned by a gulidy of mine about 4 or 5 years ago. He, like me had little idea about it, just that he had hard it from another friend. I hit up the site and honestly thought "meh, another MMO..ya, they claim to be different..so has every game i've tried in the last couple years /shrug" However, I did bookmark the homepage, and got on the forums not long after they went up. The rest is pretty much history :)

I heard about it in a car on my way to talk some programmers into working on it, somehow it just came out of my mouth, you can imagine how surprised I was. There I was minding my own business trying not to get run over when BANG, the Eyes of Darkness hit me over the head. Bitch.

Oh, my. Its been several years, so I don't even remeber when I first heard of CoS. I think it was from one of the massive online websites. No idea which one, though. :?

I saw the article on mmorpg.com and also made my first Kickstarter pledge based on what I saw there and on the CoS website. I hope the funding shows up somehow to get this game a speed boost, as I'm sure everyone working on it all this time would like a little vacation. ;)

I remember back in 2008 I had to go abroad for a couple weeks and felt I needed a "quickie" game fix before it was to be all work and no play so I was browsing Gameogre for a free or beta game and found CoS's concept intriguing. As their database can be outdated sometimes, I went right ahead to mmorpg.com and searched for it. At first, I felt it was just too good to be true.. Surely this can't be done... but I'm a dreamer, so I kept on reading. The first thing that made me believe there might actually be some truth to it was how passionate and communicative the developers seemed. (I was only introduced to Jatar back then).

Instead of getting my quickie that night, I spent the whole time reading about the game on mmorpg.com forums, then reading everything on the website. I was still skeptical, but I'm not the kind who lets that stand in the way of dreaming. I never stopped dreaming ever since...

I could say I've felt the same way.. Beside the 2008, it was just more recent for me. xD

The same applies to me ;)
I've seen the Kickstarter-article in a newsletter by mmorpg.com, and was immediately fascinated by the idea and presentation of CoS (the video captivated me instantaneously^^).

Followed by this came my first pledge on Kickstarter, as well as my registration on the forums.
