So from what i've seen, the main concern right now is funding to speed up development, and so, my idea, wich you might've already thought of, is to contact streamers to showcase the game. From my knowledge, it is the best and least expensive way of advertising. All you need to do is plan a 1-2 hours guided tour. Showcase a couple of areas of a city, some screenshots, concept art, have someone talk about the engine and future plans and boom, thousands of viewers. Some streamers might even do it for free. I'd recommend CohhCarnage though, since he's a nice guy, has a high viewer base and has already showcased pantheon ROTF. The other twitch streamers i know that play various games are Sodapoppin and Lirik. These three are probably the best choices since the other highly viewed streamers are dedicated to one game.

Also, most importantly, i'd suggest overhauling the website and forums. Let's be honest, it's not very good. Overall, i'd say the site is confusing and not intuitive, it is probably what scares newcomers the most. All i can say is check the competition. Ashes of creation, Crowfall, Camelot Unchained and Chronicles of Elyria, they all have professional looking websites. I myself feel fearful of my money when i click on the donations tab.

I think it's still to early for all that. They're still working on getting the engine working. Once the gameplay gets added they will start with marketing.

I don't know the current state of the engine but from some of the older videos and screenshots, it seems they got enough working to make a stream. Maybe showcase a bit of a questline or some of the npc AI. In the example i gave (pantheon), most of the city was greyboxed. I just think there's so many good concepts that could be portrayed relatively easily with a couple of screenshots and dev talks. On the other hand, it appears there's much the devs are "not ready to talk about", so that could be a bummer.

There's no gameplay ready. They've been focusing entirely on getting the engine done.

There have been dev streams in the past for higher pledged backers that discuss gameplay mechanics and short tech demos but those aren't really suited for marketing.
